Cal went camping with the Team in Training group to Lake San Antonio, where she got a feel for just what the triatholon was going to be like. It really hit home just why she was putting her body through all this anguish from a boy the same age as Owen, named Tyler, who has leukemia, and his mother and he attended the campout to cheer on their heroes. The next day, as Calli was struggling up a hill on her bike, there was Tyler with a megaphone leaning out a car window, urging her on.
